On Monday 26th September twelve children represented the school in a mixed
5-aside competition. The children were split into two teams. The competition
took place at Baverstock Academy.
The first Chilcote team played in group
A. They lost 2v0 to Bells Farm in their first game. They then lost 4v0 to The
Oaks. Finally, they lost their last game 2v0 to Kings Norton. They played really
well despite the defeats and were unlucky not score a couple of their
chances.
The second Chilcote team played in group b. They beat Hollywood
3v0 in their first game. They beat Yardley Wood 4v0 in the second game. Finally,
they beat Allens Croft 3v2 in a very close game.
This meant that they
won the group and qualified for the semi-finals. In the semis they played
against The Oaks and they won 5v0 playing really well.
In the final they
played against Hollywood again. The game was a close affair but Chilcote managed
to win the game 3v1 with a couple of excellent goals.
Well done to both
teams - a great showing and lots of fun had by all!
