What a busy week in Year 1!

In Year 1 this week we have had two walks to look at "Our World", the area in which we live.   On Monday afternoon we walked around the roads that circle school, looking at the houses and shops.   We also looked out for trees that were growing along the roadside and in the gardens.
On Thursday morning we walked to the Forest School.   Again we looked at "Our World" and compared it to the things we saw on Monday.   While we were in the Forest School we collected natural things; leaves, stones, twigs and a snail or two!   In the afternoon we used our collections to create art work in the style of the artist Andy Goldsworthy.   We have had a super week and have really enjoyed all of the activities we have done.
