On Wednesday 13th April, two teams of six
children, in Year 4, from Chilcote represented the school in a mixed hockey tournament.
The tournament took place at Hollywood school on their playground. Ten schools
took part in the tournament.
The schools were split into three groups. Chilcote B were in
a group of four. They played all of the other schools once. They won all of
their matches and finished as group winners. Chilcote A were in a group of
three and played the other schools twice. They won two, drew one and lost one,
but still managed to finish top of their group too!
In the semi-finals the two Chilcote teams avoided each
other. Chilcote B played against Chad Vale and lost 1v0 to a golden goal.
Chilcote A also lost 1v0 to St Lawrence in their semi-final. This meant that
Chilcote finished in third and fourth place overall.
A big well done to all of the children involved in the
tournament. They represented the school brilliantly and did themselves proud!!!
