On Thursday 18th May eight Year 6 children from Chilcote school took part in a mixed super 4's athletics tournament. The tournament took place at Kings Norton Girls' School.
The athletic events were 75m sprint, 600m long distance run, standing long jump and a javelin throw. Each child did all of the events and their best time or distance was added to the team's total score.
At the end of all of the events the schools finished in the following positions:
9th Grendon B 452
8th Grendon A 672
7th Broadmeadow B 677
6th Bells Farm 719
5th Hollywood 727
4th Broadmeadow A 780
3rd Yardley Wood 802
2nd The Oaks 823
1st Chilcote 868
As you can see, after totaling up all of the scores Chilcote finished in 1st place! All of the children represented the school brilliantly and should be very proud of their achievement!!!
