On Monday 4th February 2014, year 4 went on a fabulous trip to Symphony Hall and the new library in
town. We walked to the train station and waited for the train to come. Then
when the train arrived we jumped on. We arrived in town at 10:30 then we went
towards Symphony Hall. We sat down at the front and listened to many different amazing
young groups created by teens themselves. The musical styles included jazz,
classical and soul. Some of the musicians talked to us about their instruments,
too.
After
that we went back outside to walk to the new library. Then the two classes
split up and went in different parts of the building. 4 Lime went to the kids’
reading section first, while 4 Maple were up on the big balcony with views all across Birmingham. In the kids’
section, there were lots of cushions and exciting books to read. On the balcony (51 metres high),
there were lots of benches and pebbles on pathways, which were described as
mazes.
After
a busy day, we started to head back to the train station again, we went back
onto the train ready to walk back to school. Then we walked back to school very
weary and tired, but happy. We got ready to go home and a great day was
finished.

ReplyDeleteWe all had a brilliant time at the Symphony Hall and the new Library of Birmingham.
We all had a fantastic day at symphony hall I loved it (even though we had to walk to whole way there and back. All of that walking made my legs hurt).and I hope everyone else liked it as well as much as me. To me it was phenomenal, and very creative as well. When we were inside it was enormous and it was also, packed full of people. There was also a lot of schools there so we represented, are school to show chilcote is the best school. (And it is if you ask me). All the people that performed were very good and, very well talented. After that we all when to the new library in Birmingham first 4 Maple went up on the top, while 4 Lime were downstairs and, then we swaped over after like 10 minutes. So like 4 Lime was at the top and 4 Maple were downstairs.
ReplyDeleteAnd that is why I loved it.

On our recent trip to the Symphony Hall and the new Birmingham Library, the Year Four classes went by train and foot to Birmingham city centre. When we arrived we walked to the Symphony Hall and we were lucky to get front row seats to watch the fabulous performance. My most favourite part was the brass performers, but to be honest they were all good.
ReplyDeleteWent then walked across to the new Birmingham Library and had a fantastic time discovering all of the different books in the children’s area. A few minutes later we found our way up to the rooftop on the balcony and saw lots of amazing views of the city.
After a long day out we were all exhausted and headed back on the train home to school.
