Year 4 Mixed Hockey Tournament

On Wednesday 5th April six children from Year 4 represented the school at a mixed hockey tournament. The tournament took place at Hollywood school.

The tournament had the teams split into two groups. Chilcote were in a group with The Oaks, Yardley Wood and Hollywood.

In their first game Chilcote played against Yardley Wood and they won 2v1 coming from behind. In their second game, they played against Hollywood and were unlucky to draw 1v1. In their final game they played against The Oaks and won 1v0. All of this meant that Chilcote finished top of the group.

In the semi finals Chilcote played against Chad Vale. They played really well and hit the post, the bar and had a shot cleared off the line. Unfortunately, Chad Vale managed to squeeze a goal in and won the semi final 1v0.

This meant that Chilcote played in the third and fourth place playoff against St Martins. They played really well and won the match 3v0. 

Well done to all of the children involved who represented the school really well!!!
