On Friday 13th May the Chilcote Boys' football team played their final league match of the season against Yardley Wood school a team they have already played this season, and beat 4v3. The game was played at Yardley Wood playing fields.
The game started really well for Chilcote and they took the lead through a counter attack goal from Damian. Chilcote continued to dominate the game and soon had their second goal of the game again courtesy of Damian. Yardley Wood then had their best spell of the half and had a couple of corners and chances to score, but didn't take them. At half time the score was 2v0 to Chilcote.
In the second half the game settled into a similar pattern to the first half with Chilcote dominating the ball and having quite a few good chances. They managed to score not long into the second half through Tom, then had a number of one-on-one opportunities which they didn't take. Finally, Damian completed his hat-trick and scored Chilcote's fourth. The game ended 4v0 to Chilcote.
The boys played exceptionally well. Testament to them was the compliment the Yardley Wood Manager said about how much they had improved as a team since the last game. All of the boys should be very proud of their achievements this year, well done boys!!!
