Making cakes in Reception

During the week before half term, Reception learned about weighing and had great fun making sponge cakes. The children worked in groups weighing all the ingredients carefully- balancing each ingredient against 2 eggs in the balancing scales.
When the cakes had baked and cooled, each group decorated their cake and then enjoyed eating them.
They were yummy!
