Year 5 and 6 Mixed Swimming Gala

On Wednesday 4^th March Chilcote entered a swimming gala at King Edwards VI Camp Hill School swimming pool. The Chilcote team was made up of 4 boys and 4 girls (Ryan, Sam, Danny, Giacomo, Rachel, Olivia, Leah and Gabrielle). Each child swam 2 events and one leg of the medley relay.  There were a total of seven schools taking part in the gala.

As you can see all of the swimmers did a fantastic job and performed brilliantly. The schools were given points depending on position (7points for a win, 6 points for second etc). Chilcote finished the gala in second place overall with a total of 142 points, which unfortunately was 2 points lower than the winning school. Well done to all of the children involved, a fantastic effort!!!
