On Friday 27th February the year 6 football team
played against Moseley School at Yardley Wood playing Fields. This was the
first game of division 1, so the boys wanted to get off to a good start.
The game started well for Chilcote and they had a few half
chances at goal. Moseley then came back into the match and put pressure on
Chilcote. They ended up scoring after a lapse defensively by Chilcote. Shortly
afterwards, Chilcote had a golden opportunity to equalise but missed the chance
and the subsequent rebound. This meant it was 1 v 0 to Moseley at half time.
Chilcote came out for the second half raring to go and put Moseley under
immense pressure for almost the whole of the second half, but despite their
best efforts could not find a way passed the Moseley keeper to get a goal. The
boys played really well and created lots of chances but it just wasn’t their
day! The game ended 1 v 0 to Moseley. The boys have another game this Friday
against Severne Road School. Well done to all those involved.
