On Monday 16th October the Chilcote girls' football team played their third league fixture of the year against Severne Road Primary School. The match took place at Yardley Wood playing fields.
The match started as an even affair with both teams trying to impose themselves on the match. Slowly but surely Chilcote began to dominate the game, although Severne looked dangerous on the break. Chilcote had two good chances to score in the first half, both fell to Tamsin. She scored with one of them but it was disallowed due to a handball in the build up and then she hit the ball just over the bar from a long range shot. The half ended 0v0.
In the second half Chilcote quickly regained their control and put Severne under a lot of pressure. Eventually after a few more missed chances Anna curled a shot into the top corner after she intercepted a pass to make it 1v0. Then, shortly afterwards Tamsin hit a corner into the box and it went in off a defenders knee which made the score 2v0.
This means the girls have now won 2 and lost 1 of their league games.
Well done to all of the girls another fantastic performance!!!
