On Thursday 12th October Chilcote's mixed netball team played their second league fixture at home against Cedars Academy.
In the first quarter, both teams were just feeling their way into the game and Cedars had the upper hand. They were in around Chilcote's semi-circle for a long period of time. However, they did not manage to score so it ended 0v0.
The second quarter was a complete role reversal and Chilcote dominated the match having at least six great chances to score. Unfortunately, they only managed to take one of these chance, but this did mean they ended the quarter 1v0 up.
In the third quarter the game carried on in the same vain with Chilcote dominating the game and having a further five chances to score, but again their finishing let them down and they didn't take any of the chances that came their way. Then, as if to rub salt into the wounds Cedars scored with their only real chance of the quarter and with the last throw of the quarter to make the game 1v1.
In the final quarter, Chilcote started well but again missed their various opportunities to score. Halfway through the half Cedars managed to score another goal to take the lead in the match. From that moment Chilcote struggled to get back into their rhythm and Cedars were on top.
Despite having lots of chances to score Chilcote's inability to convert them meant they lost the game 2v1. All of the players tried their best and represented the school well!
